Raw Brownie Truffles

These Raw Brownie Truffles are such a simple & good-for-you fudgy snack. As an added bonus, these are gluten-free, refined sugar-free and, of course, raw vegan.

Raw Brownie TrufflesTwo things: 1. Chocolate is my weakness, and 2. It’s currently insanely hot in Puerto Rico, which makes me not want to turn on the oven, EVER. Which is why I’m currently sticking to simple foods and desserts, you know the ones where you don’t have to spend more than 20 minutes in the kitchen; just like these Raw Brownie Truffles. These are definitely a game-changer when it comes to no-bake desserts. All you need is a food processor, dates, cacao powder, avocado, chia seeds, rolled oats and your favorite toppings, like coconut shreds, cacao powder & pistachios.

Ingredients

Procedure

  1. Soften dates by placing them in hot water for about 5 minutes. Add the dates to the food processor and blend until smooth, scraping down the sides of the food processor as necessary. Add the avocado, rolled oats, cacao powder, chia seeds, and optional ingredients.
  2. Blend until completely combined and smooth, using a spatula to make sure everything is incorporated and scraping down the sides as necessary.
  3. Place mixture in the fridge for about 20 minutes. Prepare different plates or bowls with your toppings.
  4. When ready, use a small cookie scoop or a tablespoon to scoop mixture out. Roll into balls between your hands, and then roll each ball in your toppings. Making sure that the truffles are completely coated.
  5. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
