Three of the Best Vegan Vitamins Subscriptions

by Karla

We’ve all heard it before: “Vegans lack vitamin B12”. And while that’s not necessarily 100% true, as a vegan we may lack some vitamins and supplements. That’s why I tried 3 of the best vitamin subscriptions, so you know where to go.

We’ve all heard it before: “Vegans lack vitamin B12”. And while that’s not necessarily 100% true (anyone can lack B12 regardless of their diet/lifestyle), as a vegan we may lack of B12 and other vitamins and supplements. Through the years, a number of companies have created vegan-friendly vitamins and supplements, but buying different kinds as a monthly supply at the same time can be very expensive and tedious.

That’s why I deeply appreciate the companies that came up with a vitamins and supplements subscription service made specifically for vegans. Last October, I made it my mission to try some out, so I could give you an input on my favorites. So here we are, almost a year later, and I have my top three subscription services.

Now, I’m not saying that you absolutely have to take vitamins & supplements while following a vegan lifestyle; it’s completely possible to not need to take anything when eating clean & balanced meals. However, I can recognize that while I eat vegan, I don’t eat completely clean & balanced 100% of the time; not even 80% of the time. And that’s 100% okay!

To rank these services I used six categories:

  • Service
  • Quality
  • Cost-effectiveness
  • Look & Feel
  • Smell & Taste
  • Shipping

The services got bonus points for sustainability, diversity, branding, etc.

Okay, let’s get into it. Let’s start off with my top choice:

Most Bang for Your Buck: Care/of

VeggieJeva- Three of the Best Vegan Vitamin Subscriptions (CARE/OF)

According to their website, “Care/of provides a monthly subscription of personalized vitamins. Each month, our customers receive some of the best health and wellness products right to their door, including our signature box of 30 daily vitamin packs along with a new line of powders products chosen just for them.”

Why I LOVE them: Care/of is by far the most personalized subscription service for vegan vitamins and supplements out there. Their quiz is very extensive; it inquires about every detail of your lifestyle to determine what you may benefit from. After the quiz, they’ll give you very accurate recommendations, for you to choose and build your subscription package. In addition, they have an app with a rewards system for you to log in and keep track of your daily intake; in exchange, they’ll give you points that you can redeem for discounts or goodies.

Highlights✨: Personalized monthly service where you can choose what you get.

The Price: Packs start at just $5 for a 30 day supply, but the final price highly depends on what you choose. For reference, my monthly supply of 9 daily capsules costs $59.

The good:

Customer Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • My first order arrived in very bad shape; the company offered to send another order for free, no questions asked.
Good Quality: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cost-effectiveness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • I truly believe that this is the company that gives you more bang for your buck. My subscription of $59 covers 9 capsules daily (1 Cranberry, 1 Iron, 2 Magnesium, 1 Rhodiola, 1 Vegan D3, 2 Vegan Omega, and 1 B12). Buying all of those vitamins/supplements would cost me way more if I were to buy them individually.
Look: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • All the packaging looks amazing; from the information pamphlet to the capsules. And I love the fact that every daily packet is personalized with facts, questions, and quotes.
Smell & Taste: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • No smell and taste, all-natural color & flavoring.

Has room for improvement

Shipping: ⭐️⭐️
  • My first order was placed late April and it arrived in July… almost two months later. However, I would like to point out that at this time, the USPS was really behind on deliveries, and most packages that I’ve ordered from other companies have taken a long time to arrive as well, so the shipping issues might not have to do anything with the company. My other orders have taken a month to arrive.

Bonus Points💫

  • Eco-friendliness: At first, I was concerned about the amount of waste that individual packaging generates. However, I was super relieved to find out that the packs are made of wood pulp, a fermented blend of corn, cassava root, and sugarcane; making them completely compostable.

Best Aesthetic: Ritual

VeggieJeva- Three of the Best Vegan Vitamin Subscriptions (RITUAL)

According to their website, “Traditional multivitamins weren’t doing us any favors, so we made one that will.” And I couldn’t agree more.

Why I LOVE them: The quality of their multivitamin is 10/10 across the board! It’s highly noticeable that the creators of Ritual thought about every aspect of the product: look, smell, and taste, while delivering amazing ingredients and quality.

Highlights: If you don’t need a specific amount of a certain vitamins, or simply don’t care for personalization, this is the best option for getting a complete multivitamin service.

Price: $33-$39, for a 30 day supply.

The Good:

Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Quality: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • Traceable nutrients, vegan-friendly gluten, allergen-free, non-GMO, no artificial colorants or synthetic fillers.
Look & Feel: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • Their entire branding and color scheme it’s just beautiful! Not to mention, that it seems like diversity and inclusion is a top priority for this brand.
Smell & Taste: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • Amazing minty fresh smell and taste! They use food-grade insert infused with mint to keep the vitamins smelling fresh.
Shipping:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • Extremely fast shipping! My order arrived within 5 days of placing the order.

Has Room for Improvement

Cost-effectiveness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • $30-$35 for a month supply of 9 nutrients (Folate, Omega-3 DHA, Vitamin B13, Vitamin D3, Iron, K2, Boron, Vitamin E, Magnesium). Even though the price is incredible. Your hands are tied if you’re looking to consume a specific amount of a certain nutrient.

Bonus Points💫

  • Diversity: Even though you can’t choose how many milligrams to consume from specific nutrients, Ritual offers a wide variety of options for Women, Men, Teens, and even guidance of which options may fit transgender/non-binary people. Honestly, that is a big plus; this is the first time that I run into a vitamin service that addresses multivitamins for transgender and/or non-binary teens.
  • Sustainability: The bottles and caps are made of 100% recycled plastic, and the product is shipped in a recyclable box or mailers made from 100% recycled content. The paper used is 100% garbage-repurposed newsprint and plant fibers.

Straight to the point: Goli Nutrition

VeggieJeva- Three of the Best Vegan Vitamin Subscriptions (GOLI)

According to their website, “When we were initially developing our product, our main goal was to create a gummy that allowed everyone to experience the awesome benefits that Apple Cider Vinegar has to offer, while providing 100% of your daily vitamin needs without that horrible taste.”

Why I LOVE them: This company goes straight to the point, by offering the benefits of apple cider vinegar without the taste, and vitamin B12. The Goli Gummy is 100% organic, vegan-friendly, gluten-free, with no preservatives, chemicals, or artificial ingredients.

Highlights: This is a great option if you’re just starting out taking vitamins & supplements.

Price: $19 for a 60 day supply.

The good:

Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Quality: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cost-effectiveness:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Look & Feel: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Smell & Taste: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Shipping: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I decided to give Goli 4 to 5 stars across all categories, simply because since their service is not personalized, there’s barely any room to run into issues. This is the first company that I tried back in October, and the quality, look & feel, and shipping service remains exactly the same.
