VeggieJeva- Bloody Chocolate Cups

We’ve been over this: chocolate + raspberries + cherries = match made in heaven✨

Make these spooky bloody chocolate cups for Halloween! With some melted chocolate, and a luscious cherry-raspberry compote, you can achieve some wonderfully rich chocolate cups, that seem to melt in your mouth with each bite, while looking straight out of a scary movie.

The best part is that there’s no need for you to turn on the oven! This is truly a fun and delicious recipe to make.

Recipe: Bloody Chocolate Cups

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup frozen cherries
  • 1 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (or brown sugar)
  • ¼ cup coconut oil
  • ¼ cup plant-based milk of choice
  • 1 cup + ¾  cup vegan chocolate chips or chocolate bar

Procedure:

  1. Heat the cherries & raspberries in a small pot on medium-high heat until soft, mash them until there are no large chunks anymore and add the maple syrup. Give it a mix and set aside to cool.
  2. In a double boiler, melt chocolate, along with the coconut oil & milk. Meanwhile, place cupcake liners in a cupcake pan.
  3. Place about 1 ½  tsp of melted chocolate in the cupcake liners and tilt them, so the chocolate spreads evenly. Repeat for all the cupcake liners and place it into the fridge until the chocolate hardens (about 15-20 minutes).
  4. Afterward, remove pan from fridge and add about a teaspoon of the cherry-raspberry compote into the middle of the chocolate-coated cupcake liners.
  5. Pour another 1 ½  tsp of chocolate over the compote. Tilt it a bit to make sure the compote is completely covered. Let it harden in the fridge for about 10 more minutes.
  6. Once the chocolate is hard, carefully remove the cupcake liners and ENJOY!
